Idols to Enemies is an ever-evolving solo music project from the esoteric mind of Jonathan Brown.
The project
Idols to Enemies is currently a solo endeavor where all music is written, performed, and produced by Jonathan Brown.
Jonathan has been a musician for over 16 years. Yet all of those years of work had little recorded music to show for it – until now. 2020 was a time for action. A reckoning for the creative soul. Thus, the idea of Idols to Enemies was born. This will be a concentrated, creative outlet that will evolve over the years, but for now, followers can experience the heavily electronic-influenced debut EP, Frame of Mind.
Jonathan’s idols are those musicians that have pushed boundaries in their respective genres – artists that have continued to evolve and grow their sound over the years, even if it comes at the cost of upsetting their own fans from time to time. The daring attitude to do what’s best for the artistic soul at the expense of risking their own livelihood is admirable, and the name of this project is born out of that idea (and much more).
Idols will preferably become friends one day, but Idols to Friends just doesn’t sound quite as good.
